Profile
Julie has extensive experience in the field of education, children's services and digital technologies,
having fulfilled a wide variety of teaching, management, consultancy and advisory roles across both
the private and public sectors. She has been working on BSF and Academy programmes since 2006
and has opened 16 new schools as the education consultant.
Julie is a highly skilled and experienced educational document writer who has had her work inspected
and approved by the Department for Education and Ofsted many times over. Each new academy
and school she has worked on has required a full set of educational policies and plans which Julie
has written, using her broad knowledge base and current awareness of government guidance and
legislation to ensure they are fully compliant and accurate. Every policy and plan is grounded in good
practice and reflects her experience in schools across the country.
Julie was formerly a Senior Teacher Advisor before entering the private sector as a specialist
consultant. She wrote several modules of the 'Leading from the Middle' programme for the national
College of School Leadership. In 2003, Julie was the National Teacher of the Year in recognition of
her outstanding work with students with Special Educational Needs at Westleigh High School, Wigan.
The school was recognised nationally as a flagship for inclusion.
